ABC has always been part of the liberal media entourage. It reminded me of the days of Dan Rather when he saw evidence where there was no evidence. That’s when the right side of the brain is most useful. No Facts, just imagination! Nobody in his right mind would interview Mrs. Gingrich and really expect her to be believable. It was obvious she was a pissed off ex-wife who dreamt about Tiffany money being spent on her. But that was not going to happen. And to think Brian Ross and the goons at ABC would waste their time to interview her and air it 2 days before the SC primary is in one word stupid. They sent Ross all around the circus and he claimed since the Republicans preach family values, then it was fair game. So these liberal idiots seem to grant themselves a license to tear anybody apart if they are Republicans on personal issues. When Clinton got caught it was between him and Hillary. It was a personal matter. When Johnny Edwards got caught the liberal press was slow to move. But there are family values here. Hillary is still married to Billy Bob and Johnny allegedly has asked his mistress to move in so they can be a family. These liberals have family values, then why are these liberals exempt from the wrath of the liberal media and blogs? I don’t get it. The Republicans have had a zillion debates and family values have not been an issue. It has all been about the economy and the constitution. It has been about the deficit, taxes and terrorists. It has been about illegal immigrants. Since this fiasco was about a quest for open marriage that made it an issue. The guy wanted a divorce, what kind of an open marriage did she alone create in her head? Some spouses always think the other spouse will come back. Obama has been hiding stuff for about 5 years. How come goons like Ross are not out there interviewing Obama’s classmates? What about his drug mates? They are out there, probably easy pickings. If you paid them as much as you paid Mrs. Gingrich, I am certain they would make up any story you would like to hear. For centuries we have been aware of the liberal and bias media. But this was the first time that ABC made a big boo boo and then they sent Ross around to cover it over. Ross said they were looking for material on Newt and his policy decisions. Well I guess Mrs. Gingrich wasn’t aware of anything Newt did at the office. So instead of folding up the tent, ABC decides to run with this bias piece. Even O’Reilly said he would not do the story. No one in his right mind would do a story like this unless they wanted to hurt Newt. Ross also admitted he had the scoop on Romney’s Cayman Island accounts. Again ABC had nothing. I think it is ok for blogs and other characters to come forward and preach all they want about useless nothing. But ABC used to have a standard. I think they called it journalism. Ross and his liberal pundits have reduced ABC and its affiliates to a bunch of useless, bias has-beens. They sit there and they wonder why Fox News does so much better then ABC. In every poll that has existed, Fox News always polls more fair and balanced then ABC. In other words when they add up the positives and negatives they have covered on the air, the negatives and positives kind of balance out on Fox News. But on ABC the negative comments outweigh the positive comments. Stated another way, there are a higher ratio of positive comments to negative comments when Obama comments are compared to McCain comments. And the same will hold true with ABC no matter who the Republican candidate is. But in the South Carolina primary the attack on Newt seemed to back fire. Everyone knew about Newt’s marital history. It had been around for years. And there were probably a lot of women who held that against him. It appears as the public saw this woman and the hatchet job she was trying to do on Newt and his character and ABC’s family values, it became obvious that this woman may have had some issues and problems. And ABC was not the place for this woman to appear. Was she divorced? Did she receive a fair and equitable settlement? Has Newt ever said a disparaging comment about Mrs. Gingrich? And more importantly how much did ABC pay her for the interview? In the end I think even O’Reilly was shocked at the poll numbers for the SC primary. He thought this would be damaging to Newt. But I think Ross did Newt a favor. He put a face to the problem and the problem will never surface again. So Obama, Biden and Romney can no longer use this woman’s story to hurt Newt’s reputation. It is clearly off the table. The blogs will always find fodder, but anyone that allows this to resurface will be ostracized by the community. Now as more people stop watching the ABC news and their affiliates, instead of spending all that money on marketing, ABC should fire all the liberals that work for ABC including Ross and go for a more fair and balanced approach. My thanks to Ross, he may not be able to sing like a supreme, but he has helped Newt in more ways than were expected. Maybe Ross can find a link between the housing crash and the appraisal fiasco caused by the Democrats and the banks. The banks are still making money on all those short sales and foreclosures. Way to go Democrats, Ross and the banks. Brian Ross is a dope… a Diva he is not. by Dr. Phil Taverna syndicated from The Land of the Free .

Political opponents of Governor Scott Walker of Wisconsin announced they had nearly double the amount of signatures legally required to proceed with a recall election. While I expected the opponents of Walker to get the necessary signatures before the deadline date, I was surprised to discover that they procured over a million signatures. There was an aggressive house-to-house canvassing campaign, as well as numerous signing locations that were readily accessible to the public. Of course, we might quickly observe that a signature on a petition does not equate to a vote at the polls come election day. In addition, there is a verification process to validate signatures that could take several months to play out. Adding to the complications, is the fact that the Democrats have not had a flood of top tier candidates rushing to be the opponent of Walker. Political pundits place the time of the actual election no earlier than May, or perhaps even June–a time of the year when many people are thinking more about summer vacations than watershed elections. By that time, the legislature will likely be out of session, so even were we to see a change in the political structure brought on by the recalls, it could be cancelled out again in the November elections, before the recall results take effect. Even so, neither side is taking the election lightly. For Walker’s opposition, this election is an effort to reverse a loss of political power that began in November of 2010, when they lost a majority in the State Assembly. Recall elections held last summer regained two of the seats previously lost, but not enough to regain a majority. Not only is the Governor’s office in play, but the Democrats are also attempting to recall State Senators, which would help regain political control of the State Senate. Walker opponents also attempted an indirect seizure of power by backing a relatively unknown candidate for State Supreme Court Justice against an established conservative incumbent, David Prosser. They were defeated only by only a few thousand votes in a controversial election that required a recount. In Wisconsin, there is currently a 4-3 conservative majority in the high court. The State Supreme Court was seen as crucial in the interpretation of civil suits brought to invalidate Walker’s legislative initiatives that curtailed collective bargaining privileges for state employees. Walker backers have criticized the recall process complaining about the financial burden and cost of the process. But the objection is a waste of time and effort. It rings hollow because the same folks generally supported a voter ID law that will also be expensive to implement. My own perspective is that the expense is just a painful part of the political process which must be endured to reach one’s ultimate objectives of political victory. Neither side should expect the other side to simply go quietly into the night. My straight advice to conservatives in Wisconsin, or those who will face similar situations in the future in other states, is to turn out enthusiastically at the polls, getting your revenge on election day. In the mean time, make an articulate case for your position, putting an inquisitive stone in the shoes of others. Competing in volleys of epithets and name calling is lowering yourself to the level of the people you condemn. My own view on the recalls is that they are necessary due to a regression in citizenship. The Wisconsin Constitution never defines any limitations on the reason for recall, because the legislature never assumed a recall would happen on account of the losing side refusing to recognize the result of the election. I personally think recalls should be reserved for gross misconduct or malfeasance of office. Of course, the end result will be dueling recalls, increasing polarization and less civility. Everyone talks about more civility, as if merely calling for a truce automatically makes one more enlightened. As expected, nobody actual does anything to promote it, though. Furthermore, the recall process will only insure the elections of more “do nothing” politicians, unwilling to risk anything for fear of losing their position. We will simply see the maintenance of the status quo, without any unpopular, statesmen-like actions in times of financial crisis. In some recent presidential elections, Wisconsin has voted narrowly in favor of the Democratic presidential candidate. More importantly, the recall elections in Wisconsin may be a bellwether for the national election this fall, and for future budgetary policy actions of various state governors and legislators. Most people, whether protesters or supporters of Walker are decent, law abiding folks. Some of them got caught up in the herd mentality or emotional vitriol in a moment of passion. Most people are not rigid ideologues, but become the useful idiots of those who are. Rather than demean them in this column, I would point you to a brand new book, “Mobocracy” written by a friend and mentor Dr. Jake Jacobs. Jacobs is an expert on American history, and visited Madison, Wisconsin several times, interviewing protesters and observing the group dynamics during the height of last winter’s protests. Jacobs documents the history and philosophical underpinnings of these types of movements. Recall election in Wisconsin a national bellwether by Robert E. Meyer syndicated from The Land of the Free .

I have to admit that while I’m more than a C&E (Christmas/Easter) Catholic, I do tend to attend mass only sporadically. Well, I HAD to attend mass this weekend to hear what my priest was going to say about the Obamacare mandate forcing religious groups to violate their consciences or be forced to only provide for people of their faith . The issue at hand is that an Obamacare mandate taking effect in August forces all health care providers to cover birth control services ( ie- abortions, the pill, the morning-after pill, sterilization procedures ) for their employees and prospective patients. This violates the conscience and beliefs of Catholic health care providers, whose facilities serve the whole community, not just Catholics. This regulation in Obamacare makes them choose — continue to help anyone by violating your beliefs, or break the law. When did our country start resembling China on church-and-state issues? It’s a symptom of the problem with one-size-fits-all health care, dictated to us from the masterminds at HHS, who clearly believe they know what’s best for us all. If the individual mandate is struck down by SCOTUS, then this point may become mute. One hopes. So, at mass yesterday the homily consisted of my priest reading a letter from the bishop on this very issue. I could tell my priest was a little uncomfortable talking politics, but was clearly steadfast and in solidarity with the bishop’s plea that this provision be repealed with the help of the Catholic community pressuring their representatives. While I break with the Roman Catholic Church on some “social justice” issues, since to paraphrase Andrew Wilkow, I’m not sure Jesus would be for universal health care dictated to the masses at the tip of a Roman spear, and that I distinguish between true refugees and freeloaders when it comes to border crossings, I believe protesting this particular issue is dead on. Other faiths should also be highly concerned at this “ prohibiting the free exercise thereof ” concept regarding how religions practice their faith in the community is being handled. The Obama Nation doesn’t seem to care much about religion, since to the statists religion generally gets in the way of the secular-progressive ethic which the statist wishes to impose on the masses. This open animus should be resisted through all legal means. Also, what stupid politics! Catholics support Democrats more than Republicans for some reason — I suppose the liberal-means-being-a-nice-person swill the left has successfully ingrained into the popular culture contributes to that. But, why fit this latest time-bomb into Obamacare knowing that its timing will negatively affect a group the Dems require to win majorities in numerous key Northeastern states? Either the Obama Nation’s incredibly naive or cocky as they hope Catholic Democrat voters either really are sheep or don’t really believe what their faith tells them.

Do state governments have the right to legalize murder? According to Ron Paul, they do. During a January 19 th debate in Charleston, South Carolina, former senator Rick Santorum charged that Congressman Paul, in spite of his fervent advocacy of the anti-abortion cause, has only about a 50 percent pro-life voting record in Congress. Incredibly, Paul’s response was that the slaughter of innocent human beings — as he unambiguously recognizes abortion to be — is none of the federal government’s business. “All other violence is handled by the states,” he said. “That’s a state issue.” While it’s true that murder and other violent acts are prosecuted at the state level, it does not follow that the states have the authority to legalize them. The Fifth Amendment says, “No person shall … be deprived of life, liberty or property, without due process of law.” By taking the position that the systematic killing of millions of innocent people is a state issue, Paul must suppose that the Bill of Rights is a mere suggestion, from which the states may opt out. If Paul insists on constantly warbling on about the Constitution, he really ought to go back and re-read it. He often cites the Tenth Amendment to support his libertarian philosophy of devolving power to the states, but that is not what it prescribes in all cases. What it says is, “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution , nor prohibited by it to the States , are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.” (emphasis added) The Fifth Amendment forbids anybody, including the states, from depriving innocent people of life, liberty or property. In fact, the 14 th Amendment is partially a reiteration of the Fifth, in that it specifies that “No State” shall deprive people of those same rights. Therefore, the power that Paul says is reserved to the states is instead plainly prohibited to them by the Constitution, which places him as much at odds with the Tenth Amendment as any big-government liberal. What’s really curious is that Paul, who used to be an obstetrician, explains his opposition to abortion through a horrific story about his having witnessed one; yet it’s the one offense against the Bill of Rights about which he conspicuously defers to the states. Among the congressman’s many — oh, let’s go with “unconventional” — opinions is that the Civil War could have easily been averted, if only President Lincoln had simply purchased all the slaves from the South and freed them. The reason Abe didn’t do this, according to Paul, is that he was bent on instigating the war in for the sole purpose of consolidating power in Washington. Never mind the flaws in his analysis, which, to put it kindly, are egregious and many. The point is that Paul does not contend that slavery was a state issue about which Lincoln should have done nothing. Instead, he prescribes a heavy-handed, if utterly implausible, course of action by the federal government, at no small taxpayer expense. If he sees a role for the federal government in defending people’s right to liberty, then why not life? Could it be that the man who poses as the consummate non-politician is making the most cynical of political calculations? In open primary states, the bulk of Paul’s support comes from voters who are not registered Republican. In fact, his blame-America-first foreign policy and his support for drug legalization have made him a favorite among the loopiest of liberal activists. Hence their gleeful speculation about an independent Ron Paul-Dennis Kucinich ticket in 2008. Paul has succeeded where countless other politicians have failed in finding a rhetorical middle ground on the abortion issue. From one side of his mouth, he declares that life begins at fertilization, and that Roe v. Wade was wrongly decided. From the other, he assumes the Jimmy Carter “personally opposed, but” position, suggesting that there would be nothing legally wrong with all 50 states allowing the atrocity to continue. The whole reason we have a Bill of Rights is to establish that our most fundamental, natural rights do not come from man, and therefore cannot be lawfully denied by him. That document is wholly incompatible with the proposition that a state government is free to condone the killing of unborn children within its borders. As long as Dr. Paul refuses to see that, he can be no more consistent a defender of the Constitution than he really is of innocent human life. That’s Why We Have a Bill of Rights, Dr. Paul by Daniel Clark syndicated from The Land of the Free .

With the 2012 election looming and signs of a recovering economy , there is one political debate looming that few in the media are talking about that will rear its head in the later part of this year. This debate will have a significant impact on both of these areas and the outcome of the debate may very well determine the election. That debate is about the impending expiration of the Bush Tax Cuts. Let’s look at the picture, shall we? The economic data indicates improvement and signs of recovery The Bush Tax Cuts are going to expire at the end of the year It’s an election year. This sounds all too familiar. On February 1, 2010, almost two years ago, I wrote an article on the economic picture at the time . At that time: The economic data indicated improvement and signs of recovery The Bush Tax Cuts were going to expire at the end of that year It was an election year. Seems familiar, doesn’t it? The tax policy debate is going to have a far more significant impact on the economy and the election than most pundits in the media realize. When Obama and the Democrats agreed to an extension two years ago, they were about as stupid as anyone could be because they insisted on only a two year extension – putting the debate smack in the middle of another election year. What happened in 2010 again? The debate lingered all year. The wacky left insisted on the administration making a stand. The economy stagnated and even declined due to the uncertain economic outlook for individuals and businesses and the expectation of higher taxes. Republicans campaigned on the issue, and wound up taking control of the House in one of the biggest electoral swings in history. I content that history is going to repeat itself. The left is too stupid to realize that this is going to be an Achilles heel for them. The Occupy movement has emboldened them to think that by raising taxes, they really are fighting for the “99%”. As the year goes on, the Democrats will dig in, the Republicans will seize the issue, and the GOP nominee will have a political weapon so powerful that it will send the Obama Campaign into chaos. If Obama caves and extends the tax cuts, he will demoralize his base just in time for the election. If he takes a stand, he will lose the center and contribute to a stagnating or declining economy. Either way, he’s in a bind, and it could very well hand the GOP another electoral victory. It’s deja vu all over again.

What I am about to share is a little embarrassing. I pray my honesty will bless you. Many years ago, Baltimore, Maryland media was buzzing about an upcoming high profile fundraiser for a charity. I was not passionate about the charity. Still, I worked and was successful in getting my name added to the list of performers simply because, this is embarrassing for me to admit, I thought it would help my career. My performance was a disaster; everything that could go wrong did. In hindsight, I realized I had forced myself into a situation where I did not belong. Years later after relocating to Central Florida, an Orlando radio station was hosting a Support Our Troops Rally. I’m very patriotic and supportive of our U.S. Military. I thought my original song, “Celebrate America” which I performed in Maryland for years at U.S. Immigration Ceremonies, would be perfect for the radio station’s troop support rally. I phoned the producer of the rally and remarkably, sight unseen, not knowing me from Adam, he added me to the program. My heart and motives were in the right place. “Celebrate America” was a huge hit. My Orlando performance with six thousand in the audience lead to me being asked to perform at a Glenn Beck troop support rally in Tampa with 19,000 in the audience. My Tampa performance lead to being asked to perform at troop support rallies in Washington DC covered on national TV. A Sacramento, CA company saw me at a DC rally and invited me to go on national tours. I have performed for millions and God continues to open exciting new doors. Promotion comes from God. I have learned that I do not need to “soup up” to anyone to get them to like me. I do not need to scheme or jockey for position. Please do not get me wrong. I am not promoting laziness disguised at “trusting God”. We should pursue our dreams. The Bible says, “faith without works is dead”. But, “go for it” God’s Way. Be honest and true; always desiring to make a positive difference in every situation. This is the key to rock solid success. Recognizing the truth that promotion does not come from man, but from God is extremely liberating. I can simply relax and be at peace. I know that as long as I am trusting and sensitive to His leading, God will always place me exactly where I am suppose to be. I’m chillin’ in Christ. Ice tea anyone?
The Republican nomination fight is on; there are four corners to the ring, where each candidate stands. The tremendous blows so far are being thrown by Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney. Both gladiators are blocking the potential damage by weaving and bobbing to avoid that final knockout punch. The other two, Rick Santorum and the ever so out spoken, closer to the Libertarian views and ideologies, Ron Paul are moving ever so slowly towards the center, ready, willing an able to deliver a painful kidney punch. Their ineffectiveness to elaborate on the positives, assisted by a deaf and dumb media and lack of internal support from their own Party establishment, are proving to be a hindrance to their campaigns, except for Romney. It seems as though the fix is in, with the death warmed over, Old Grand Old Party, fixtures endorsing Romney, jamming him down our throats weather we like it or not. There are a few renegades, supporting his opposition but for the most part it’s Romney, their anointed hand picked, controllable poster boy? As they’re battling it out, Obama sits in political luxury, relentlessly, guarded in an atmosphere of untouchable bliss, blaming everyone for America’s downfall except for himself, the number one culprit The smart money is still being placed on the incumbent, who is the odds on favorite, even with all his incompetent Socialistic mishaps is Our President; Barack Hussein Obama, “The Chosen One”. He realizes that complacency, Republican internal fighting, and electorate ignorance is his number one asset and ally. He sits in the back ground, with unlimited financial resources and a protective shield of political spin and false praises. His cronies demonstrate a relentless obedience of personal humiliation in defending his dysfunctional existence as his obvious title and so-called Leader of the Free World. His bought and sold puppets of liberal associates in the communications and performance industries hold key spots in brain washing our youth and the ill informed albatrosses of our community. The first Lady Michelle Obama has appeared on numerous shows from renovating homes for the less fortunate, to popular children variety sitcom, which offered help, and support to our military families. This is geared to reflect a sympathetic view of her dedication towards the American people and our Military. This smoke in mirrors tactics which will attempt to affect and sway the young and the naive that she is still proud to be an American, as long as it meets in her self imposed standards, relating to her mental capacity of maneuvering them towards her dominate demands and her way of thinking. Yet during the tenth anniversary of 911, in New York, during one of the ceremonies, at Ground Zero where this tremendous catasophere was viciously enacted by Muslim terrorist extremists. She showed her true colors, at a respectful demonstration honoring our precious American flag. She arrogantly leaned toward her husband, the President, and was caught on camera saying, “All this for a Dame Flag”? This was mysteriously hidden and kept a secret by the main stream liberal media to the American public, why? What despicable display of disrespect? What a snake? The President just smiled, with a grin and gave an accepted yes sigh with his head. She has the ability to be a very negative force over America and the American people, by inflicting her will on a society already decimated, by a runaway Government. She has the gall to dictate a way of life in her own image, which she controls every aspect of an individual’s dignity and independence. She even places boundaries and limitations on the consumption of food, manipulating life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, while she is constantly caught doing the opposite. “Do what I say and don’t do what I do” is a familiar quote which comes to mind, while her Kool-Aide supporters of idiocies praise her every move, and tries to wipe clean her tarnished characteristics. Any person with a small amount of intelligence knows we are being fooled once again by the Marist Socialist Liberal Democrats and the Progressives. These familiar tactics are so clear that the most expensive costume couldn’t disguise the Obama’s shame. No matter how much they attempt to increase their popularity and regal grandeur appearances. The biggest problems we as a Nation confront are all those metal midgets, who haven’t a clue, and believe their abominations of lies. The time is now to change America’s leadership before it’s too late? 2012 is a very important year for America. Don’t get fooled again? If we continue to sit idly by while these demigods flagrantly dismiss our Constitution and all of our Inalienable Rights, then we don’t deserve having them? Are we going to preserve and defend our liberty and freedoms, or just give them away without protest? We are in control of our destiny. This is a wonderful, fantastic Country in which “We the People” are in Control, not a King and Queen? Remember and don’t forget to exercise your power of the vote and change our course back to greatness. The time is now, to save ourselves, our freedoms, our Constitution and our Country?
Ronald Reagan is, without a doubt, the best President America was blessed with in the 20th Century. But, when you look at his competition, such was not necessarily that hard of a feat to accomplish. I mean seriously. There were a plethora of left wingers, fascist wanna-bes and so-called conservatives who exhibited a wondering eye for socialist policies. The list includes the likes of Teddy Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, Franklin D. Roosevelt (x4), Harry Truman, Lyndon B. Johnson, Richard Nixon, Jimmy Carter, George H. W. Bush and William Jefferson Clinton. Knock them off the list and who was his only real competition for such a title? Gerald Ford? Please. The man couldn’t even walk straight. He almost was bungling enough to make Jimmy Carter look sane. Jimmy Carter? Oh, yeah, sure … he was so incompetent that he makes Obama look like Mr. Perfect. JFK? The man who wilted in the face of Soviet aggression and caused the Cuban Missile Crisis? Don’t fool yourself. Herbert Hoover? Ok, he did denounce overbearing government regulation as a problem. But then he turned right around and proposed a fair number of unconstitutional and overbearing government programs of his own like the unconstitutional Department of Education. And let’s not forget to mention his idea for $50 per month pensions for the elderly, a forerunner to the ponzi scheme of Social Security. He even exasperated the Great Depression by rejecting tried and true laissez-faire economic strategies. William H. Taft? This is the man that proposed income taxes on corporations. Taxes like this, I remind everyone, are paid in the end by the consumer and just a tax on the people writ large. This is a favorite ploy of the left to soak the working class with hidden taxes and keep them from accruing wealth. He also led a crusade against companies he felt, arbitrarily of course, were too big. Ultimately, when you boil it all down, Reagan’s only real competition for the title of Best President of the 20th Century was Warren G. Harding. And how many people even know that much about Mr. Harding other than the Tea Pot Dome Scandal? How many people even know about that? At least Harding practiced and implemented conservative fiscal policies that made the economic downturn which happened during his time in office short and all but forgotten to history. Like so many better than average to almost great Presidents in American history, Reagan gets more than his fair share of praise. He even gets a little deified from time to time. That miffs me because people who fall over themselves to praise Reagan do so very blindly. Let us all remember, Ronald Reagan was not a god. Like with other greatly flawed leaders of this nation, George Washington and Thomas Jefferson come to mind, people mindlessly throw Reagan’s praises around. They forget his plethora of broken promises and his naive agreement with liberal Democrats who he actually thought would cut spending like they said they would. And let’s not forget his insane support of amnesty for illegal aliens. In the process of this blind idol worship those who have placed Reagan upon a pedestal of infallibility fail to think critically about things he actually did which were wrong. When trapped without an answer to these things they haphazardly spout off some quote or belief of his without care to its truth or substance. Which brings me to Reagan’s “11th Commandment”. This “Commandment”, as if that was not the most arrogant thing one could call words spoken by a mere man, was simply “Thou shalt not speak ill of any fellow Republican.” I have heard this Golden Rule evoked more times than warranted in this election cycle and by both Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich supporters upset that the other side is attacking their candidate. Some of these attacks are valid. Some of them are not. Some of them are downright lies. And both sides have engaged in them. Ok, first of all, let’s get something straight. This was not even “Reagan’s” “Commandment”. This actually came from Gaylord Parkinson who was Chairman of the California Republican Party. It was drawn up because of the mindless attacks by the Rockefeller wing of the Republican Party against Barry Goldwater in 1964. But a mindless rule in response to a mindless attack is just, well, mindless. Think about this for just one second. All you Reagan aficionados who get excited at the mere mention of the man’s name in vain settle down. Everyone now, take a deep breath. It is time to think critically. If a “fellow Republican” is a creep, a scumbag or a liar are we seriously suggesting that he not be called a creep, a scumbag or a liar? I am not talking about baseless attacks. I am talking about attacks based on the facts. I am sorry. But isn’t bearing false witness against the laws of God? How can you seriously sit there and ask people to not tell the truth? Well, I hate to tell you this, but when it comes to a choice between the laws of God and the laws of men, or a man, I will choose the laws of God every day of the week and twice on Sunday. Reagan’s 11th Commandment is absurd. Those who spout it when anyone dares points out the truth about another Republican and how they often act in most unRepublican ways are mindless partisans who do the Party no favors. Get over yourselves and realize that, oh no, Reagan was, at times, wrong. I understand all you Newt and Mitt partisans do not like lies being told about your candidate of choice. But you also do not seem to like too much the truth being spoken about them either. That is because both of them have a long and not so glorious past of acting like Democrats. Personally I will ignore Reagan’s silly commandment because it is just that; silly. Reagan was not infallible. And this “commandment” proves it. Truth must be spoken. ====================================================== J.J.
It started out being, “Anybody but Obama”, then morphed into, “Anybody but Romney ”. Actually, that’s where it started, with Romney… whoever started that little slogan, and those who jumped on the “Anybody, but” bandwagon afterward, thought Romney was sure to be the Republican candidate who would (could?) win the party’s nomination, and go on to become President. If I’m not mistaken, that started “way back when”… when we had, what was it, nine candidates? Let’s see, there was former MN Gov. Tim Pawlenty, successful GA businessman, Herman Cain, former NM Gov., Gary Johnson (currently Libertarian Party presidential candidate), U.S. MN Representative, Michelle Bachman, Jon Huntsman, Jr., former UT Gov and Amb to China, and TX Gov., Rick Perry; all “drop-outs”. BTW, please note all of them either now hold office, or did, formerly. That’s the big election message, I think… local and state elections matter, just as much as Presidential/Federal… if you want a say on issues, and candidates, don’t stay home in your recliner on those election days. BTW#2, the citizens of Apopka have a dismal voter turn-out record. What’s the problem, people? I know you’re not content to let others make all you life-altering decisions, because you complain as much as anybody when you don’t like those decisions. Hope if you’re one of the complainers, you’re also a faithful, committed, voter!! Anyway… The reason we’re at this “Anybody, but…” stage is because there’s something “wrong” with all the remaining presidential candidates: Mitt Romney is too “Hollywood-Perfect ” , leaving him Looking Good , while he seems unable to reach out and touch anyone … and he’s “too nice”, no skeletons in his scandal closet. Then we have Rick Santorum , who also seems to have no skeletons rattling around in his closet. Unlike Newt Gingrich , whose campaign song could be “The thigh bone connecta to the knee bone”… remember that silly song? He’s also too feisty and bombastic, in a “go-get-‘em” kind of way that, in spite of it all, seems to resonate to the point of cheers and standing ovations. Last, but not least, there’s Ron Paul , who is considered to be just a leeetle bit too “ wacky”. So, there you have it, ladies and gentlemen of the conservative/Republican persuasion. The candidates, talking heads and pundits have all done their jobs and their homework. On January 31, it will be Florida’s time to do our job… hopefully we’ve all done our due diligence and are ready to get out there & rock the vote! P.S. If you’re one of those out there, looking ahead to the general election, (still) leaning in Obama’s direction, before you pull that lever, or make your mark, ask yourself THE question: are you better off now than you were before Barack Obama? Millions of people across this country… Conservatives, Independents, and yes, gasp ! even Democrats are screaming, “Nooooo!”, because we realize that if he’s re-elected, (Shudder!) every day will be an ugly, déjà vu day… until he’s done driving America over the cliff that already looms before us. Don’t give him permission to keep driving. Please. Anybody but…. by Patti Bankson syndicated from The Land of the Free .
